Aranya is a true korvai Kanjivaram: body and border are woven separately in forest green and antique gold, then interlocked by hand so the join can be felt as a ridge and never comes apart. The pallu is a rettai pettu double warp in mustard, patterned with yaali and rudraksham. Three weavers worked the loom in turn over four months.
