SHIVARNIKA

Our Story

A house built around six looms

Timeless Drapes, Divine Grace — not a slogan, a working constraint.

It started with a saree that could not be replaced

Beginnings

It started with a saree that could not be replaced

A grandmother's Banarasi, forty years old, worn thin at the fold. Every workshop we took it to offered to print the border back on. One weaver in Varanasi offered to weave it. That distinction became the house.

We commission, we do not source

The Partnership

We commission, we do not source

Shivarnika does not buy finished stock from wholesale markets. We commission directly from six weaving families, pay in advance so the loom is never idle, and name the weaver on every product page. What that costs shows in the price, and in the cloth.

Slower than the market, on purpose

The Standard

Slower than the market, on purpose

A bridal Kanjivaram takes eleven to fourteen weeks. We release fewer than a hundred pieces a year. If a saree does not pass the fold test — sharp edges, even selvedge, a reverse as clean as the face — it does not ship.
