Tussar
Tussar Silk Sarees — Wild Silk from Bhagalpur and Jharkhand
Tussar is reeled from wild silkworms that feed on sal and arjun. The filament is coarser and shorter than mulberry, which is exactly why the finished cloth has its dry, textured hand and a gold that reads as honey rather than mirror.

The natural colour
Undyed Tussar ranges from wheat to deep amber, and no two lots match. Dyes sit softly on it, so colours come up muted and earthen.
Everyday formality
Tussar holds a crease and a pleat beautifully. It is the weave for work, for gallery evenings, and for anywhere silk should be present but not loud.
