Chanderi Sarees — Sheer Silk-Cotton from Madhya Pradesh
Chanderi is the lightest of the classical weaves. The transparency comes from unbleached, untwisted yarn that is never degummed, giving the cloth its glass-like fall. Butis are worked by hand with separate needles, one motif at a time.

Why it is sheer
The yarn keeps its natural gum, so the filament stays smooth and the cloth stays translucent. Wear it with a full-length slip in a tone close to the ground colour.
